Posh Singapore

Architecture & Urbanity:

Singapore is a fantastic mix of New York City, Dubai, and Tokyo. It is a sophisticated, globalized cosmopolitan. Everyone is walking around holding their shoulders high and wearing a chic, understated outfit, full of poise and self-possession.

Buildings oozed of style, modernity, and money. Each building seemed to be an attempt to declare its uniqueness, individuality, and boldness. Greenery was thoughtfully draped over intentionally nature-centric skyscrapers. The roads, sidewalks, and crosswalks were spacious for pedestrians to glide and stylish cars to cruise.

Religious & Ethnic Diversity:

Chinese, Malays, and Indians populate Singapore, which is an interesting mix of cultures and belief systems. We passed many Buddhist and Hindu places of worship, along with a few Christian churches and Islamic mosques.

Gardens:

The Gardens by the Bay is one of the icons of Singapore; it is known for its architectural structures shaped like trees that are covered in vines and lights. In the evening, they create a light show with music, sychronizing lights and colors. As we sat on the pavement with the other tourists, we wondered at the unusual beauty.

Airport:

As we left the city and prepared to fly to Indonesia, we enjoyed the notoriously extravagant airport. There was a full-size facade of a famous row of houses in Singapore, there was a Koi Pond, and many other impressive features. The airport offers tours because it is such a unique experience. We boarded our plane, saying goodbye to the classy city.
